Valobra Master Jewelers is thrilled to announce an ongoing collaboration with the celebrated artist Christopher Martin and his new gallery in Houston, the Christopher Martin Gallery in Upper Kirby. Our June partnership kicks off with a VIP EVENT celebrating men on behalf of Father’s Day and will include:

Elegant and stylish men’s custom clothing from LUCHO

A showcase of some of the world’s finest vintage and collectible cars

Incredible art from an assortment of internationally acclaimed artists including Christopher Martin and Johans Lamic, who will be featuring his Whale Tail Project which pays tribute to Porsche racing history

Food and drink are sponsored by Steak 48 and Gentle Ben Whiskey and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Urban Harvest.

ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MARTIN GALLERY

Celebrated painter and gallerist Christopher Martin is no stranger to Houston. Buoyed by a bevy of high-profile local collectors, in 2019, the Aspen-based creative, renowned for his expressive and organic abstract paintings, unveiled a monumental outdoor piece as well as two 8-foot by 8-foot indoor pieces in Wells Fargo Plaza, one of Texas’ tallest office towers. Christopher Martin opened his Houston gallery, a 2,000-square-foot showroom along Upper Kirby District’s acclaimed Gallery Row (2625 Colquitt Street) in early 2022. Christopher Martin Gallery outposts in Houston, the Dallas Design District, downtown Aspen and Vail Village, CO, serve as an ongoing showcase of Martin’s signature work along with a noteworthy stable of contemporary artists.

THE WHALE TAIL PROJECT

The Whale Tail Project started in 2019 when artist Johans Lamic bought his first Porsche an 83’ 3,2 Carrera Targa. The idea was to restore and customize the vehicle. When the process started, the car was disassembled and among all these parts, Johans noticed the spoiler and thought the beautiful object would fit perfectly in his living room as a piece of art. He decided to develop the idea and create an object that would represent the quintessence of the Porsche brand, history, and technology. The idea behind the Whale Tail Project is to revive the emotions, nostalgia, and the glorious racing past of the Porsche brand by displaying on our stylish revisited spoiler’s retro and modern interpretations of racing liveries.
